Today, this showed up on my facebook dashboard:
After totally flipping a shit over how cute this thing is, I clicked the link underneath it in order to find out how to go about procuring one (because let’s be real, I’m ordering one).
As expected, the ball of cute above is actually something called a Squishable. I talked a little about Squishables in my Nerdy Christmas List, but I think it’s time the Squishable crew gets to stand alone in the spotlight.
Squishables are amazing. Not only are there somewhat abstract monster-ish Squishables, like Fezzy here, but there are plenty of Squishables designed after real live animals. Some squishables are big.
Some are tiny.
Some, like my Cute Lil’ Monster Greg, are perfectly in-between.
There are Squishable corgis and octopi and black bears and manatees, but my personal favorite (until Fezzy premiered) has always been Squishable Cthulhu. I have coveted Cthulhu at countless conventions and online for years, but Squishables are a bit on the pricey side, and I’ve always had trouble justifying $42 for a stuffed animal. Even Greg, who was only $19, was a birthday present.
You have to admit, however, that Squishables are incredibly adorable, whether they are perfectly normal animals like hedgehogs, or something a bit more imaginative like whatever Skettles are.
There’s also a smattering of Squishables designed after food products, like cupcakes and the most adorable cup of Early Grey tea you will probably ever see in your life.
Perhaps what I like the most about Squishable is how much involvement you can have as a Squishable fan. Not only can you vote on designs for future squishables right on the company website, but you can submit your own design for production. And yes, if you’re chosen, you will get some cash out of the deal. Additionally, the Squishable Facebook page often posts in-process designs for fans to vote on, and the feedback always affects final designs.
Just in case you aren’t totally sold on how amazing Squishable is yet, you should also check out their philanthropy page. For every fan photo they receive, the company donates a dollar to an ever-changing charity (this month it is The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance). They also donate unused prototypes to children in critical care, and send other squishables all over the world to children in need.
Now you’ll have to excuse me, as I have a Fezzy to order.
Want a Fezzy of your own? Order one on Fezzy’s Squishable Page!

Squishable is one of my favorite companies. They are super nice, they have amazing customer service and their products are totally worth it. I have several Squishables, and they are the best pillows one could want for reading and general laziness. Worth every cent!
Agreed. I’m ordering my Fezzy this weekend!!
