PAX East 2014 Preview

Hey guys, Tushar and I are going to be at PAX East again this year, grabbin’ all the indie game devs coops and checking out advance screenings/demos of things. If you see us, stop and say hi! Here are some of the things you can look forward to in our report (videos after the jump).

Square-Enix’s new title Murdered: Soul Suspect will be present and we get to play it! The story follows the spirit of a detective who’s trying to solve his own murder and lead the police to his killer. He can pick up on clues and interact with the real world by possessing people. If this sounds like “Ghost Trick,” the DS puzzle game by the creator of Ace Attorney, the chief creative officer of Airtight Games, the developer, says he wasn’t even aware of the title when he began developing M:SS, and the two games have very different feel and gameplay.

Project Cyber is kind of a sports game. It’s 3 on 3 co op soccer with super powers. They’ve been community sourcing their development by streaming new builds, getting feedback from players with open alpha, and developing the game with almost complete transparency. It’s rad.

Broforce is. God, Broforce is just. Okay, so imagine The Expendables of video games with Contra gameplay and destructible environments. That’s Broforce. Look at this update video. I’m talking to them. My life is great.
