The Last of Us is a very easy game for me to review. Words are hardly needed. My review is as follows…..

I really wish I still had a PS3 just to play The Last of Us. This trailer is a couple of weeks old now, which makes it a fossil in internet time, but it still deserves a look from those of you who haven’t seen it. I really like the concepts that Naughty Dog is putting into this series. Having beaten the entire Jak and Daxter series and the first two Uncharted games it’s easy to trust them with smart, fun, and engaging games.

We’ve done the post apocalyptic game before, we’ve all faced down hordes of zombies and monsters, so what is so special about The Last Of Us? The real answer is, we don’t know yet. That is part of the fun with Sony is releasing information on this game in a very slow, leaked manner. No release date yet or even release window. We were first teased with the “ant” video. If you go to their site http://www.lastofus.com you can watch as an ant becomes infected by a fungus that starts to mutate its body. What does that tell us? Okay, maybe we aren’t dealing with the Walking Dead this time. (more…)
Awwwwwwwwwww, I miss these games. I played through all three of the platform-heavy, wise-cracking, Jak and Daxter games on my Playstation 2 and now they are being brought to the PS3 in HD and all on one disc. Crazy times, I tell you.

Enjoy the trailer and if you are like me and have already played these games, sit back and soak up the nostalgia, but if you haven’t had the opportunity do yourself a favor and pick them up when they rerelease.
