10 Tumblr Blogs You Have to Follow

When not working hard bringing you slamming content, we here at IHOGeek moonlight as champion time wasters. However, from staring at lava lamps for hours on end to day dreaming the day away, I promise you that the best of procrastinators have nothing on me (and I’m sure my lovely editors could confirm this). I decided to share some of my favorite tumblr blogs that I have hidden away for a lazy Sunday (or any time I have an article due). You’re welcome in advanced for the lost years.

1) Ask Slender Man Anything

Right…So this is basically what it sounds like. Ask silly questions and get freaked the freak out by slendy’s replies. The coded font the manager uses to reply to the inquiries is totally creepy too. Follow if you like the willies.

2)Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (Or Death the High Cost of Living)

Well, do they? Unfortunately this blog doesn’t have the answer because it’s mostly devoted to posting awesome gifs and stills from the greatest indy and cult movies like Bladerunner. It’s run by a dude named Fabian (rad name) and is one of my favorite movie blogs whose content I shamelessly reblog all the time. Give it a follow

3) Neil Gaiman

That’s right! The Sandman himself has a personal tumblr. When not posting personal photos with his Wonder Woman of a wife (See Amanda Palmer’s tumblr), Gaiman devotes a much of his tumblr time answering questions that have been submitted to his ask box. Unfortunately he receives hundreds of messages daily and naturally only has time to give well thought out responses to a few every day. Still, if you’ve been sitting on that million dollar question for sometime, it’s totally worth it to give him a shot! Also, he habitually answers fellow and aspiring writers questions about the craft and other odds and ends, so if writings your game, Gaiman is your man.

4) Buffy Outfits and What Buffy Wore

Ok, so the second blog is not always active, but when it is…sweet Sunnydale is it funny. Both feature the best of the 90’s fashion and  pairs screen caps with hilarious commentary that pokes loving fun at the ridiculous clothing Buffy and the Scoobies paraded around in for 7 seasons. Buffy and her crimped hair. Willow and her fuzzy sweaters. Spike and his nails. Zander and his….everything. It’s all here folks.

5) Gotham Architecture 

This tumblr is exactly what it sounds like (and that’s Gotham not Gothic). It features the architecture and city scape of our favorite corrupt city from all aspects of the fandom, from movies, to comics, to the animated series. I don’t know what to say about this blog other than it’s just neat.

6)The Broke Back Pose and Boobs Don’t Work that Way and Escher Girls

Don’t comic’s most powerful ladies look their best when depicted in spine shattering poses that just scream “hey world, wouldn’t it just be easier if our tits and asses were on the same side of our body?” Probably not, and these blogs pokes fun at these anatomy defying depictions that just make me want to scratch my head.

7) Simpsons Screen Caps

I freaking love this tumblr and I have gone through pages and PAGES of post of, well, simpsons screen caps. If you’re a fan of the series, prepare to lose hours to this blog and the respect of your loved ones because holy guacamole is it funny. The manger is going through the entire series, too, so it will save you the time of watching the episodes yourself.

8) Looking Marvelous

I know that many of you have enjoyed our superhero inspired outfits, so I’d like to pass along this tumblr that features Uncanny lady ensembles inspired by your favorite marvel characters. Unfortunately, unlike our posts, these don’t include where to by the pieces, which is kind of lame. Hopefully you’ll still be inspired by these inspired-bys and create similar looks for yourself.

9)Arrested Westeros

I’m proud to present the greatest mash-up blog of all time: Arrested Development captions paired with stills from a Game of Thrones. Oh the hilarity.
