We’re beginning to think that San Diego Comic Con might actually be that special place in dreaming where dreams that we didn’t even know we had actually become reality. This particular dream that I’ve held in my heart of hearts since finally finishing all of Sandman earlier this year was to read MORE about Morpheus and his Endless siblings. Well, my feelings go out to all of you who have been waiting YEARS for this news: Gaiman is writing more Sandman. That’s right, so you better tell the lovely Death to go get a hot dog or something because you need to hold out until 2013, the 25 anniversary of Sandman.Check out Gaiman’s official announcement below and listen to him read a bit from Dream Country and Brief Lives in his pure sex voice.
So that’s all we know for now. The artist will be J.H. Williams and the story will be a prequel of sorts (though I’m sure it will be a lot of things, knowing Gaiman and Morpheus’ crew) concerning the Dream King’s fantastical adventures in a galaxy far far away, alluded to in one panel of Brief Lives
Who’s excited? WE ARE.
