I’ve seen this done to a degree (sketches, fashion shows) but I haven’t seen anything affordable or anything extensive! I am not the most stylish at IHOGeek nor am I the girliest, but I admit that the thought of a Robin inspired outfit is intriguing. I’m starting this mini project on January 1st and I will find clothes to create two outfits (dressy and casual) for roughly 20 heroes. Using my intense ninja Paint skills, I will lay them out for you in fantabulous spreads with links on where to find each delectable item! I do plan on trying to slowly purchase items very similar to these and wear them but if you get to it first, show me! Tweet me @IHOGeek, email them, FB them, whatever!! love this, my girlfriend actually does this a lot. she’ll buy red and blue clothing and totally match supergirl. Pretty cheap too, got red pants at target once, blue top at forever 21, No yellow belt (although I think that would have been a nice touch) I got her red boots once lol she only wore them to comic con though.
that sounds pretty neat! i am going for a little more than just color coding but have her send pix and i’ll compile them into a gallery on fb :D
Yeah, it’s easy to recreate any pseudo costume cheaply, however, it’s more important to create your own unique look.
Personally, both styles are valid, however, in the Cosplay Universe, building your costume from scratch is most awesome.

i agree. i put these together as something for people to base their clothes on. obviously i completely urge people to put their spin on the outfits (we all have our tastes and whatnot!).
i haven’t cosplayed myself but i’m sure it’s quite expensive to create something from scratch so i’d say there is definitely a charge for awesomeness if ya catch my drift.
