EXTERMINATION #1

This Wednesday, Boom Studios released they’re new series, EXTERMINATION, a series which had sold out (to retailers) 8 days before its release date! The comic focuses on two sworn enemies, who, in lieu of an apocalyptic alien invasion are forced to team up together in order to survive. Nox, the Detective superhero who has sworn never to kill, is an obvious depiction of Batman. Nox must now struggle with his base ideology as Red Reaper, acting almost like a techno-joker, eggs him on in attempt to get Nox to break his one rule. The series has an interesting concept with some thought provoking dialogue provided by writer SIMON SPURRIER, however, based on the first issue alone it lacks any real ‘wow’ factor. Artist JEFFREY EDWARDS does a great job transition from flashbacks to the present story, giving the present world a much dirtier look in his art. The first issue is only $1 so you really can’t go wrong by grabbing this title!
