Yes, as over-hyped and over-worked as they have become, I still love the “Pirates” franchise (anyone who has seen my kitchen will back me up on this). By the looks of the sea of fan art out there, I’m not the only one. These examples can be found, among nearly 240 by artists of all ages and skill levels, on fanart-central.net and include everything from pencil on notebook paper to pastels and watercolors to digital art. I’m particularly impressed with the image on the lower right done in what I think is bleached fabric — not a lot of room for error in that medium.
