Hannibal Lector, Sailor Moon, and More

We all know the internet is full of useful information, be it how to stick a glass jar in your asshole, or how to steam a fish fillet in a dishwasher. This is not quite the stuff I like to look for generally (aw, who am I kidding…it totally is) BUT this week seemed to be ripe with all kinds of stuff I love so without further ado, here is the stuff I’ve found interesting so far this week!

Comics/Books

Sailor Moon has been bracing itself for a comeback (dare I say, REVIVAL) and since I lived and breathed Usagi/Serena during my preteen years, I soaked up every chunk of news possible about this. Finally, September 13th arrived and Takeuchi’s masterpiece is available for purchase!! I know what I will be reading amidst DC Comics’ 52 releases *wink* – AnimeNewsNetwork!

Chuck Palahniuk’s new book will be released in mid October and we are pleased to say we’ve gotten an advance copy and Deadrabbit92 will have that up for your viewing pleasure in the upcoming week! Keep your eye on our site, mmkay?

Movies

I also came across news that Patrick Swayze masterpiece Point Break will be getting the reboot treatment. Kill me now. Why is Hollywood on this reboot/remake kick? JUST STOP –  Cutting News!

Oh yes, tweens and mothers of said tweens, Breaking Dawn part 1 has an official trailer. The abysmal series is finally ending and dare I say, the trailer itself seems slightly better than it’s precursors! – Yahoo Movies

In gaming news, GameStop is launching their own…gaming tablet?? – Techland

I’m an incredibly big Resident Evil fan and I can’t wait for the RUSH of Resident Evil stuff coming my way. Capcom has even released/leaked a new Resident Evil: Revelations trailer! I’m practically salivating. – Break.com

I’ve been on the hedge about the Star Wars MMORPG The Old Republic but I gotta say, watching this Smuggler class progression trailer kinda makes me definitely wanna get it. What do you think? – IGN 

Television

After a FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC season one, we, the Walking Dead audience, have been rewarded with a teaser trailer and poster. I can’t wait to get my zombie on! If you have somehow missed this show/comic, do yourself and humanity a favor and pick up Robert Kirkman’s epic tale. Walking Dead season 2  – Pajiba

Kevin Smith’s Secret Stash reality show has finally been picked up! AMC has ordered 6 episodes of the nerdy version of Pawn Stars. I’ll catch a few! – Comic Book Movie

Last but not least in TV news, my all time favoritest villain/antagonist, Hannibal Lector, is being developed for his very own television show. Bring on the brains, guts, and gore!!! No word yet on who will play this incarnation but I only hope he brings the chills. – NME.com
