IHOG is going to Long Beach!

August is slowly winding down, leading into what is arguably the most monumental months in comic book history! Already we have DC’s new 52 to look forward to (or in some cases dread) and on the Marvel side,  Fear Itself will begin wrapping up in October and the Ultimate Universe will have a relaunch of its own! With all of this new and amazing stuff headed your way, I can imagine the anticipation you have for next year’s big conventions! Well, if you were one of the several thousand that missed out on San Diego Comic Con, then fret no more! Because  International House of Geek is going to be at Long Beach Comic Con, and you should too!

Whether you’re attending to meet celebrities, or just looking to buy loads of geek paraphernalia for amazingly cheap prices, Long Beach Comic Con is really the place to be. LBCC, unlike it’s elder brother, is a smaller convention; but that’s not always a bad thing! Why? Well, because it provides an affordable alternative to the bigger named conventions. Still, they manage to provide the same experience, with less of the clutter. Instead of being hassled with having to navigate your way through hordes of your fellow comrades, and missing out on practically every item you had flagged to buy, you can just make your way through the crowd, calmly, to fulfill your geek needs. You can still mingle with several of the comic industry’s greatest artists, and writers, and possibly even a handful of celebrities.

So who is coming to this year’s Long Beach Comic Con? Well, the actors and actresses scheduled to appear include:  Felicia Day, Lance Henricksen, Sean Becker, Jim Daly, and Hart D. Fisher! Don’t forget some of the brightest, and most talented comic book writers, and artists: Amanda Conner, Ray-Anthony Height, Drew Johnson, JT Krul, Scott Lobdell, Todd Nauck, Dustin Nguyen, Peter Nguyen, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Mark Waid are also scheduled to appear!

There’s more however, if you are planning to attend Long Beach Comic Con then you’ll get the chance to win one of three prizes, from International House of Geek.

What are the prizes? Three variant cover comics that have yet to be chosen.
