- Located near any major city (EXCEPT Dallas, LA and NYC)
- A way with words and one article per week
- Must be able to attend general chat meetings held once per month
- Male, female, we don’t care – at IHOGeek, all nerds are created equal

whitney, it can be absolutely anything you want to write about! Write about something you’re passionate about, be it video games, anime, a sweet ass manga you checked out of the library, whatever!
When you refer to a picture, do you want one that goes with the sample article or one of us?
a picture of yourself is preferable (not to judge anyone by appearances but to have something on hand if we take you on and to put with your bio).
Is Kansas City major enough? I’m just outside KC and one of the few true nerd women in the area.
I’d love to contribute, but alas, I reallllly don’t think that Albany, NY qualifies as a “major city”.
for both susan and krystle, there are always exceptions to every rule! we like to have major cities as that’s where we send people to cover conventions and free movies also happen to be in big cities as well. i’d still urge you to apply!
that kind of thing would be nice every once in a while but we’d prefer there be other things in the mix!

None needed! This is NOT a paid position. IHOGeek can definitely be used for resume fodder but we do try to provide for our writers in perks. If that’s still something you are up for, please apply!

At this point I’m really looking for a paid position, as my unpaid writing time is already committed to completing a book I started during NaNoWriMo this year. I’ve got 60,000 words written but the story isn’t done yet so I have to focus on what will either finish the book or feed the children. :) I do appreciate your quick response. I am sure you will attract some lovely writers who will be excited about the opportunity to be published and join your staff. Blessings to you.

Yep, as Leia said, we currently have people stationed in those three cities and we’re looking to expand beyond them. :]
