I decided to do a set of mini interviews with people I’ve interacted with and have extraordinary backgrounds. Many I’ve met via Facebook and many I’ll meet when I attend SDCC for the first time this July. Next up is gorgeous model/writer, R.H. Stavis!

Online handle: @RHStavis
Age: 1000 years old
Fave cartoon/book/movie/whatever: Harley Quinn, Lara Croft, Hello Kitty, and Quantum Physics
L: You are the definition of a fangirl for Tomb Raider, a game I played the crap out of as a teen. I think it’s about time for a reboot and return to comics, what say you!?
RHS: Absolutely!!! I miss Lara Croft so much! I hope that someone brings her back to comics, and I’d love to go back to my TR roots and help that happen for the fans.
L: I notice you regularly cruise around the U.S. doing conventions and signing comics, most recently Archaia at WonderCon. Do you have a favorite stop or a funny story to share from your travels?
RHS: I think the weirdest thing that ever happened to me was when I was approached by a fan who said, “Wow, I totally thought you’d be a troll!” I didn’t know what to say – do you give that a thanks?!? Aside from that, I try to check out haunted places when I’m in new cities. I love catching ghosts on film (I’ve done it more than once!).
L: Ghosts are my not so secret passion! I wanna see!! Since you seem constantly doing something amazingly cool, what kind of projects do you have in the works?
RHS: Ugh, I WISH I could say at this point, but my next few projects are hush-hush right now. Stay tuned for some announcements late summer…
L: Everyone has a science fiction property that means the world to them, be it Star Wars, Back to the Future, or even E.T. What’s yours?
RHS: Although I am a big Back to the Future fan, I have to admit horror is more my bag. My 80s favorites are A Nightmare on Elm Street, Evil Dead, Fright Night, Lost Boys… I could go on for an entire page.
L: As a model, you take mesmerizing photos. Have you ever dabbled in cosplay or do you do shoots at random moments? I suppose I’m asking what inspires you to take a break from writing and be in front of a lens!
RHS: Aww, thank you very much! I do shoots when I think it’s for something really cool – like Heavy Metal Magazine or Bella Morte. I never do cosplay and I never will – no offense to cosplayers, I think it’s awesome, it’s just not my thing. I love the artistry that goes into creating an amazing photograph, though. If it’s inspiring, I’ll do it!
L: I ask this question of everyone, so be honest: If aliens landed in front of you and, in exchange for anything you desire, offered you any position on their planet, what position would you want? I know I’d crap my pants.
RHS: Hmmm… High Priestess. In my mind, it would look like this: I get to reside in a hieroglyph carved castle, sipping honey wine, in a crazy cyber goth outfit that barely covers me, with some kind of LED fancypants headdress. And possibly make decisions. And have minions. And ALL the cupcakes! But I’m benevolent, so I share.
