If you were like me, court allotted weekends with Dad left you reading McFarlane’s stint on Amazing Spider-Man or watching dubious amounts of The Three Stooges. Damn good times I say! When rumors abounded about a possible reboot, I felt a tightening in my chest a la Takotsubo cardiomyopathy and refused to hear another word about it. To my utter delight, news of casting issues seemed to put the movie on terminal hold.
And then, this was released a couple of days ago.

Even worse…I laughed three times. Will Sasso is pitch perfect as Curly and although I had EXTREME reservations about Sean Hayes being Larry (no, not because he’s gay but because of his facial structure), he’s certainly passable. I have never even HEARD of Chris Diamantopoulos but he looks perfect. My adamant stance against this movie has been softened. Dare I see it? What do you think?

I laughed a few times at this too! I might see this after all. I was sad because Jim Carrey was originally on the bill, but it seems he is no more =(
this flick has been getting bad vibes thrown at it from all barrels. I can’t even get on facebook without hearing tons of negative things and I really don’t get it. It’s the Three Stooges movie, what did people expect? I don’t mean that as an insult, I like the Stooges. What I’m saying is it ALREADY feels and looks so much like a Stooges short, that I really don’t understand what else do people want from this movie?
How could this in any way be excellent?
